anyshop gives independent software makers and small companies a store, a checkout and license delivery. Buyers pay the seller’s own Stripe or PayPal account. We run the software, and we check every store before it goes live.

What anyshop does

  • A store for every sellerEach seller gets a store at name.anyshop.io. Sellers with their own site or app can use a buy button or the headless checkout API instead.
  • Checkout in the seller’s nameBuyers pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through the seller’s own Stripe account, or through the seller’s PayPal account.
  • License keys delivered onceKeys are encrypted when they arrive, reserved at checkout and delivered exactly once, on screen and by email, when the payment clears.
  • Records sellers can useEvery order keeps delivery evidence for disputes and exports to CSV for the seller’s accountant.

Who does what in a sale

Three parties are involved in every order. Each one has a clear job.

  • The seller

    Sells the product

    • Is the merchant of record and is named at checkout
    • Sets prices and publishes a refund policy
    • Answers buyer support within 3 working days
    • Handles their own tax
  • The payment provider

    Stripe or PayPal

    • Takes the payment into the seller’s own account
    • Verifies the seller as its own customer
    • Pays the seller out
    • Card disputes run through it and the card issuer
  • anyshop

    Runs the software

    • Runs the store, checkout and delivery
    • Reviews every store before live payments
    • Screens listings and handles reports
    • Enforces the acceptable use policy

How we run it

  • People review storesEvery store is reviewed by a person before it takes live payments, usually within 24 hours, and every report is looked at within one working day.Trust and safety

  • Plain pricingThere is no platform fee. Sellers pay only their payment provider’s fee. A paid plan with extras comes after the beta.
